Four Months

Our little doll is four months old! We are in awe of God's graciousness towards her. At her doctors appointment he said she was thriving. Music to my ears. She's weighing in at 11 pounds and is 22 inches. She smiles and giggles constantly and brings so much joy to our home. She's already rolled over a couple times too!

And a huge answer to prayer is she's really starting to get the hang of nursing!! I'm only giving her a bottle once or twice a day. I'm so happy that she's finally doing it and have so much more time on my hands since I'm not having to pump constantly. She's also sleeping through the night 8:00 to 8:00. God knows I need the sleep. (especially since her brother still likes to wake up)

Elijah loves her! I can't tell you how sweet it is to see your children love each other. I'm amazed at how much Elijah wants to take care of her. Whenever we get in the car he reaches over and takes her hand and whenever she's crying he finds her paci and tries to put it in her mouth. (which usually makes her cry more...he doesn't real understand the full meaning of gentle.) He tells her he loves her and kisses her all the time. We are blessed beyond measure.

California Coast

It's become a tradition for Caleb and I to drive up the coast for our anniversary. It started when Caleb proposed...and now we're celebrating three years. Our parents were amazing. They took both kiddos and let us use Glyko. (that's what Caleb's grandparents named her...it means "dessert" in Greek)

And we're off...
First stop...Hearst Castle. Incredible.

Feeling like we were in Europe with the architecture.

We wanted to dive in, but figured we wouldn't be allowed to finish the tour if we did.

Breath taking views. Our Creator is AMAZING.

We spent some time in Morro Bay and Camarillo

Breakfast in Glyko. (Okay...I need to be honest...We decided to take her to save some money this year. Things are a little tight and this was the only way we could make it work. I was kind of mourning a really nice hotel... big comfy bed, room service, ordering movies and just plan being lazy. I knew this was best though. Wow did she win me over! It was such a blast camping. I've grown up camping in tents and trailers, so I should have known this was going to be a blast, but it was better than you could imagine. I didn't even mind doing the dishes! I truly cannot wait to use her again.)

Good morning! You would think not having the kids we would sleep in, but no...couldn't do it, up bright and early.

Near our camp ground in San Simeon

I know it's hard to tell, but those huge dark spots on the beach are Sea Lions.

Caleb pulled over on the side of the road hopped a fence and found us a perfect picnic spot...on the edge of a cliff.

Our time together was so special. I LOVE being with Caleb. We have so much fun together and as much as I miss the kids it's refreshing to have some alone time.

We planned on driving to Big Sur and then back down and spending the night in San Simeon, but on the way up we found Ragged Point Inn. We had planned on spending one night in a hotel cause we couldn't find a camp site with any hook ups for Glyko. We called to see if we could cancel our reservation, which we could and got a room here. We were so glad we did. (although I kind of felt like I was cheating on Glyko.) It was beautiful!

View from the room.

A little beach we hiked down to. Doesn't look it, but it was steep.

Gorgeous.

Thanks Dad and Mom. We had a wonderful time and couldn't have done it without you!

What I was greeted by when we got back.........caution nudity ahead. I guess this is what happens when Papa's watching him.

Another year down....many more to come

Three years. Wow. I feel like I've been married to Caleb forever. It's hard to remember what life was like before him. At the same time, I feel like we just started, which is a slightly more accurate feeling since I've actually spent most of my life without him.

I knew I would marry him as soon as we started dating. There was just something different about him than anyone other boy I knew or had known.

We've packed a lot in in three years.

We've lived in four apartments, lost, quit, or started, eight jobs, gotten one master's degree, had two kids, traveled to seven states, celebrated holidays and weddings, said good-bye to close family and friends, meet new friends, and started new ministries at our church. We said "I do," and started running full speed.

Last weekend Caleb and I dropped the kids off in Bakersfield and drove up the coast for our anniversary. It was a wonderful three days to slow down and reconnect with each other. It was a time to reflect on where we've been and where we want to go. And driving home I realized again how much I love him.

God's blessed us with an incredible love for each other.

Our love is real. Our love is ours. Our love is deep. Our love is centered around one so much greater than the two of us...our Savior. Our love is faithful. Our love is fun. Our love is hard. Our love is growing. Our love is work. Our love is passionate. Our love is pure. Our love is forgiving. Our love is patient. Our love is hopeful. Our love is unending.

Happy anniversary Caleb, I love you.

Our time with Josh and Crystal

Caleb's brother and wife came to visit Saturday night and Sunday. We don't get to spend as much time with them as we'd like so this was a special treat for us. The time went by too fast, but we made the most of it. Some of what we did included...

                                   Cuddling with Vanessa...

Naps...these two can apparently sleep anywhere and after working as hard at they do they deserve it.

What would our time be without food...Greek salad...

Homemade pizza...

and yummy peach pie!

The L.A. Zoo...Elijah loved petting the goats and watching the bird show.

We love you Uncle Josh and Auntie Crystal...come back soon!

Baby Danny and San Clemente

Okay, I cannot believe it's taken me two weeks to post a picture of my newest nephew! I could go on and on about how busy we've been, but it would only bore you and in the end is really no excuse. I also cannot believe that when we went to the hospital to meet our sweet new addition I didn't check my camera battery and realized too late that it was dead. So, now that I've won the worst aunt in the world award...I'm introducing Daniel Allen Talcott Jr. weighing in at 8 pounds 1 ounce arriving two and half weeks early on July 17th! We are so excited to finally meet him...another boy in the family. After five girls, my dad couldn't be happier. My sisters' in-laws live in San Clemente and she arranged to spend the first couple weeks at their house after Danny was born. So, we all meet down there to hang with the little one.

Sweet Danny boy!

The two newest additions...(V is kind of done with me taking pictures, but I did succeed in getting one with out them crying.)

Proud Grandparents.

Elijah with one of his favorite people on the planet!

Davy being a big boy and jumping in the pool.

Caleb was swinging Elijah around so hard we almost lost our bottoms...he LOVED it. Laughed so hard he could barely breathe.

Davy smiling for the camera. We adore this little guy...I just look at him and he makes me smile.

Abigail with her nephews...she's the best aunt out there.

He loves the ocean and shows NO fear.

When Elijah's with Nana there is no need for mama...it could hurt my feelings, but I'm going to try and not take it personally.

I took about a hundred photos of these two and these are the best faces I got...I guess that's the case when trying to get a one and half and two year old to sit still and look at the camera. I should do a post just of all the pictures I took of them...their faces would make you laugh.

Sleeping while we all play at the beach.

My little doll.
