A night out.

My parents gave us some money for Christmas to go on a date and we cashed in on it last night! Caleb's uncle told us about this Moroccan Restaurant on Sunset that we should try. We both like experiencing new things and neither had been to a place like this, so we went.

I was looking forward to it all week. Since Elijah's been born dates haven't happened as often as we'd like and I was so happy to be going out with Caleb. I've found it's easy to stay at home when we're both so tired from the week, but once we're out we see how good it is for us. We have time to talk without interruptions and enjoy one another in a different way then at home while taking care of Eli. I miss Eli even when we go out for a couple hours, but it's so important to make our relationship the priority and that happens best when it's just the two of us. So, we got a babysitter and were off.

The name of the place is Dar Maghreb. We were actually the first ones there, which was kind of nice. We liked having the place to ourselves for a little while and talk without having to shout over all the noise. The meal is a seven course dinner that they bring to you over a couple hour span. Our entire meal lasted two hours and forty minutes! They really want you to relax and enjoy the experience. The meal was different than anything I'd had before and you eat it all with your hands! (except the soup which you drink out of the bowl.) Caleb and I had a great time and are already looking forward to our next date.

I started taking pictures of all the courses, but about halfway through I forgot...so what you see is the soup and salad, a chicken pastry type dish, and quail. We also had lamb, couscous with vegetables, and dessert. All very good. (even the quail, which I wasn't too sure about at first.)
